B4. Sisters by blood best friends by heart

Out of all 7 siblings in my family I feel that I am the closest with my 3 sisters. My sister Michelle just celebrated her 1 year wedding anniversary this past August, while my other sister Amber is in her 3 year off college, and my closest sister in age to me, Brittany, is in her senior year of high school. Although my sister Brittany goes to Alexander and we don’t see each other every day we still hangout and talk all the time. Recently my sister Amber finally moved back home after living in Watertown with her aunt and attending Jefferson Community College and currently attending University at Buffalo. I also love the fact that Michelle lives just 10 minutes away from home. We also try to have a sisters day at least once a month with all the sisters and sister in laws. When we do have a sisters day we either go to the beach for the day if it’s a nice warm summer day or we will just do a movie day at someone’s house and just have a feast. Usually at our girls day we talk about everything and I mean everything! We talk about the silliest things to boy drama. Also, I know I can talk to any of my sisters about anything and no matter what I tell them they will always understand. It’s also easier for me to vent to my sister Michelle, because she has already been through the high school years and college years, so it makes it much easier for her to understand to me. But also at the same time it’s just as easy for me to relate to Brittany only because she is still in high school and we’re going through drama at the same time. On another note I love to do a lot of activities with my sisters. Sisters by blood, best friends by heart.<3

B3. Meet My Best Friend

She’s not only my best friend but she’s a sister to me.  I will never forget the day I met Hunter Jurek. We grew up just a block away from each other and went to the same school, but we never seemed to talk or see each other. It was a warm summer day I was walking down the sidewalk and I passed this house with a girl that looked just my age playing and sitting outside of her house. We exchanged our hellos then I nonchalantly asked her to be my friend. At this time in my life I really didn’t have many friends I only had a few. From the day we met we just instantly grew up with each other and became the best of friends. I feel like when I’m around her I can just be myself, I don’t have to be someone I’m not. We feel a part of each other’s family. Also, I feel free and open to her to tell her anything that goes on in my life, I’m not afraid to keep stuff from her. Like every other friendship there are downfalls to them. Not everything can go perfect in a friendship, we do have our times in our friendship were we don’t get a long and we fight and argue. I don’t remember what we were arguing about but it turned out to be the worst thing for me, because we didn’t talk for months. I know that I had to be the one to man up and talk to her about and apologize for what I did to her. Not talking to her for that time was hard for me because I would literally tell her everything in my life, and then I just felt like I had no one to open up and talk to. I know I can always count on her being there for me with any kinds of problems I have, from boys to family or even a problem I have within myself. Next, we probably do almost everything together. Her family is like my second family. I know people say a lot of friendships don’t last after high school, but I honestly think our friendship will. No matter what happens to us I will always truly love her more than a best friend, but a sister to me.

B1. Facebook

At the age of 16, I am currently a Facebook user. There are the upsides of the social media site and downsides as well. I honestly don’t like Facebook as much as I did when I first created my account. I feel like now all Facebook is full of is drama that’s not needed, and people tend to blow situations way out of proportion. Another negative of a widely used social website is bullying. Cyber bullying is a way for bullies to hide behind the computer screen and harass the victims, and because of the victims getting bullied the outcome to that could be dangerous. Also, Facebook is more of an adult website more than a teenage one and I also think that kids at the age of 12 or younger shouldn’t be a user. As being a younger kid they don’t know right from wrong on Facebook. Kids don’t think things through before posting on Facebook or talking to strangers. Like I said people can hide behind the computer screen and pretend to be who they are not. Away from the downsides to Facebook, there are positives to it as well. Facebook is a good way to stay in contact with friends and family that are distant from you. Also it’s an easy way to contact a group of people of people all at one time. With having groups on Facebook you can add invite the people you want, not everybody is able to join because you have to be asked. Another feature that’s affective to Facebook is being able to create events. Joining and/or creating events are a fast and easy way to spread the word about your event. Lastly, you have the choice of making your account private or not private. I made my account private so when people try to find me they can’t see my information about myself.
