B2. Favorite Season

As the warm weather starts to settle down, the changing leaves and cooler weather creeps in. Autumn is my favorite time of year. Autumn is a colorful season, with all the leaves beginning to change and fall down. The season of autumn means football season, apple picking, the pumpkin patch, and trick or treating. Another main reason why autumn is because of Thanksgiving.  Besides Christmas, Thanksgiving is our family’s biggest get together. At Thanksgiving not only do we have a big turkey dinner, but we pick our names for secret Santa. Next, my favorite activity to do is the fall is going to the Pumpkin Farm, and   the Cider Mill. Usually every year one weekend before Halloween, My sisters and I have a sister day and go to The Pumpkin Patch and carve pumpkins. There are just a variety of activities to do at The Pumpkin Patch. Not only do you pick out pumpkins, but there is a gift shop, a little petting zoo sometimes and also weigh in for the heaviest pumpkins. Going to the Pumpkin Patch gets me in the spirit for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Usually after my sisters and I leave the Pumpkin patch we go back home and carve out our pumpkins.  Sometimes we do a traditional pumpkin carve of just a pumpkin face or one of our own that’s more difficult. Secondly, I love going to the Cider Mill too. Every time I walk into the Cider Mill I can’t resist the smell. They have the best donuts and cider, and have good Cider Slushies. They also have other things to buy besides cider and donuts. The Cider Mill also sells fudge, cheeses, homemade jam, spices, decorations etc. I look forward to every Sunday not only for football, but my father’s homemade soups weekly. There is hardly a Sunday where we don’t have family over for the football games.  Lastly, I always look forward to wearing my new fall apparel especially after the hot summer is over.  Switching over from shorts to jeans, tank tops to hoodies, and sandals to boots is the best.
