A3. favorite school year

Upon the many years of schooling I attended, freshman year was one of my favorite years. There are many reasons why I truely liked freshman year. It may have been one of the hardest years with coming out middle school with being the "big kids" to going to the newbies. High School was a whole new change for me. Being a freshman kind of intimidated me at first but after all it wasn't so bad. I feel like we have more freedom in high school more than middle school. With being a freshman, we got to experience new activites such as, homecoming week, snowball, battle of the classes, and much more. Sometimes as being a freshman I was clueless. I didn't really realize how serioulsy the upperclass man took homecoming week, with hall decorating, float decorating, and powderpuff football. Another thing I that made me like freshman as much as I did was the scheduling. I liked the fact that we had half year schedules and exams in January. I found it much easier to focus on my school work. Also we were able to choose our own electives. Next, it was my first year cheering for the school. It was really exciting for myself knowing when I made the high school cheerleading team. I also had to make a tough decision on myself during the winter sports season. I had to choose between cheering for boys basketball or playing girls basketball. I love participating in both sports so much, but I had to go with what I put my heart and soul into which was cheerleading. Still to this day I wish I played basketball, because I just miss it so much. Lastly, freshman year I started to make friend changes. I noticed over the summer my really close friend stopped talking to me because she started hanging around a different group of people. It had to of been one of the hardest thing I had to go through my first year in high school. Overall freshamn year, was the best and most changing school year yet.

  1. I think it's extremely overwhelming to make the transition from 8th grade to 9th grade. If you ask any upperclassman I'm sure they could give you a vivid description of their first Homecoming or Battle of the Classes. High school is a very developmental part of every person's life.
