As we all know the Alden Varsity Football team plays on Friday
nights at either 7pm or 7:30pm. Therefore my choice blog is going to be about
my football Fridays. Ever since last football/cheerleading season girls have
been coming over to get ready at my house before every football game. Last year
I had about 7 girls from the squad come over but this year I always had my 2
girls that i was closest with on the team before the games, Katie and Elaine.
Even if we had a Saturday game they would still come over and hangout and get
ready together, but Friday’s were the best. My parents usually ordered pizza
and wings for dinner. I don’t think there was one week where Elaine went
without getting something on her. She always had to use a bib so she didn’t
stain up her uniform. I think Elaine and I became closer friends and really got
to know each other a lot more this season not only from our Fridays before
games but in cheerleading generally. We literally do everything together in
cheer. We're basically cheer buddies. I mean we do hangout before the football
games and we are bus buddies for away games. We also have to take our daily
bus/cheer buddy picture at every game. She seriously is one of the funniest girls
i have ever met in my life. Then Katie on the other hand, we were already
together WAY too much for each other, but she always had to be invited for her
glitter eye shadow! I think it may have been the last home game of the season
where Katie and Elaine just weren’t ready to cheer that night. Elaine decided
she needed a 5 hour energy drink, and let’s just say it may have no of been the
best thing for her. Only about 10 minutes after taking it she was bouncing off
the walls like a crazy lunatic, okay that's a little dramatic, but she did get
the energy to last the night! We are very fortunate to have such an AMAZING
football team to be 10-0 so far and keep driving for the state championship
game. I feel very lucky to cheer for the boys because not many teams get to
play or cheer at the places we do. Lastly to close off our own cheerleading
season we placed 2nd at our ECIC competition at Eden in November. This has been
one of my favorite season yet in high school. I am going to miss everyone a
lot. Hopefully we still get to spend a couple more weeks together as the football
team takes on the challenge in the playoffs. GO BULLDOGS!! One heartbeat♥
