P5. Partners In Crime

If there were 2 people in this world I couldn’t live without besides my parents of course it would be my two favorite girls in this world, Lauren and Delaney. They are the only 2 people I know I can trust completely out of all my friends. We are always here for each other no matter what hour of the day it is. I have known Lauren ever since summer league basketball when we were going into 9th grade. I was actually one of her first friends she knew before we started school. Lauren and I share probably the best memories out of all my friends I have. We can laugh with each other or cry to each other. She especially knows how to help me with my boy troubles, which is always a plus. I feel like we can read each other by our emotions. I would also have to say that Delaney is one of my closest friends. She is my partner in crime. It feels like we’ve known each other our whole life but we haven’t known each other for a complete year yet. We met over the summer when we both made the cheerleading team. I have not had one friend like her, she is something else let me tell you. She is definitely not the same person she is in school. When you hang outside of school with her she is crazy full with energy but not in a little kid way. She is probably the happiest person standing on this earth. When we are together we’re always up to no good. We like to cause a lot of trouble which is actually kind of fun I think. Delaney is the only person that knows my deepest darkest secret, that’s how much I trust her. I don’t think there is a day that passes that I don’t say at least one word to each other. I will never forget the one time we were just texting about random pointless stuff, and I told her I was thirsty but too lazy to get out of bed to get some water. Let me remind you that it’s around 10 pm at night on a school night. She asked me what kind of water I liked, lemon or lime. I told her lemon. Next thing I know it’s about 10:30 pm when I hear a random knock on my window. Take a guess who it was, Delaney. She drove all the way to my house just to get me a bottle of water and she lives 10 minutes driving from me. Now that is a true real friend. We talk about everything from goofy giggly stuff to boys to deep personal issue. I couldn’t ask for better friends in my life than them!

P4. My First Job

About 3 weeks ago I started my first real job. I work Jeanettie’s, an ice cream place just down the road from where I live. I usually work with one other person so there are two of us working at a time. I am still technically training because I haven’t started working alone just quite yet. But I basically know everything there is to know. My first few days working there was a little overwhelming just because I was learning everything. I mean there are still a few things that I don’t know how to make yet only because no one has ordered it yet. Going into my third week I felt a lot more confident with my job now, and I am starting to show it too. Usually I work either 3 or 4 hours which isn’t too bad with school right now. I am hoping over the summer I receive more hours. Also that’s what my parents asked for was to work a few days out of the week. I usually work about 12 hours a week. One thing I like about my job is that pay day is on Wednesday which is right in the middle of the week. My first day of work I went into the job thinking it was going to be extremely hard learning how to make everything and by the third or fourth day I basically knew how to do everything. This job is really easy. All it is basically is just a lot of cleaning, which I don’t mind because that’s super easy! When we close up at 9pm we have an entire of list of things we need to clean and wash out. For example we have to clean the floors and tables and all the ice cream machines and utensils. So far I love my first job!

P3. Ms. Chrzanowski

Ms. Chrzanowski was a phenomenal student teacher. I think having her student teach for Mr. Currin was really the best choice there was. They both have the same teaching style. I like how they both put humor and fun into their class. Ms. Chrzanowski was super nice and funny. It has only been one day since she has left and I already miss her! There were points when she was teaching and I wish Mr. Currin was teaching because the students would start to walk over her. For example when we would be taking a test and students would start talking and it became a distraction for others all she would do is tell them to be quiet and started to talk to them too. I don’t know but that just causes a distraction for me. I really think in the future when she gets a teaching job she is going to be a really good teacher. I kind of hope she substitutes here at our school sometime! I think high school is a really good setting for her to work with. An ideal teacher is organized and has a hard work ethic. She was also prepared for class to start and would tell the class immediately to be seated when the bell rang. She has a lot of knowledge of English. Also an ideal teacher isn’t too strict but not too lenient on their students. Every student likes the teachers where they are easy going but also get their work done at the same time. Some advice I would give a person heading into the field of education is to stay dedicated to their goals. Also put hard work in into their studying. Ms. Chrzanowski truly showed all these characteristics very well. She is going to be that teacher everyone wants to have in English Class.

P2. School blog

After reading my blog about my goals for this school I would have to say I’m at the point where I said I wanted to be. I am maintaining the grades where I would like to be. In the blog I said I would like to stay focused all year around to keep my grades in the low to mid 90’s and I am starting to slowly slack off. I think it is just that time of the year where everyone starts to slack off. The weather is starting to change and get nice and warm out and I think everyone wants to make school their last priority and enjoy the nice weather why they can. Also in my group A blog I said I wanted to try to visit Trocaire College and I actually did. My visitation experience there was excellent. I absolutely loved he size and work ethic that they have at their school. I also just scheduled another college visit for Penn State in August of this summer. I am really looking forward to visiting there! One class I am really succeeding in is Trig class, and to be honest I didn’t think I would be doing as well as I am. After hearing what people said about that class last year made me a little bit nervous going into that class this year. I currently have a 90 average in her class. I also had goals set in cheerleading as well. Once again we had an outstanding football season. Our first competition we didn’t do to well as a team and frankly I didn’t do well individually either. But we got our stuff together for the next weekend’s competition and pulled out a second place finish! We had some really tough competitions going against us. Our coaches were extremely proud of us. When they announced us with a second place finish everyone just broke down in tears. It will be one memory I will never forget!

P1. Televison

In my house we own about six televisions. The only place we don’t have TV’s in our house is in our bathrooms. We have a small one in the kitchen then in our living and in all of our bedrooms. We even have one in our garage but we don’t use it because I don’t think it works. I don’t really know. I don’t usually watch too much TV because I’m busy doing school work at cheerleading practice or at work. The only time I get to usually watch is when I’m about to go to sleep. When I watch tv I either watch sports with my family or reality shows. My two favorite shows are Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Kourtney and Kim Take Miami. I also watch MTV’s Awkward. Also around this time every there is always High School, All-Star and/or College cheerleading on. Since the Nationals just took place and coming up this Saturday Worlds’ is taking place at Disney in Florida. Oh and I also watch movie with my dad at least once a week. It’s like our own bonding time together. I think that there can be both positive and negatives to watching television. There are some educational television shows and channels. For example The History Channel. The History Channel can be very educational to children. I think it’s a very good efficient way for students and children to get educated. The news can also be very important for people to inform the community on what’s happening around them. I also believe that there are many negatives to watching TV. Some people could watch television all day long and just sit on their butts and eat food and have no physical activity which it isn’t good. It could also affect in their school abilities as well.

O3. My Seventeenth Birthday

The reason why I held off this week’s choice blog is so I can write about my exciting birthday weekend! This year I finally turned seventeen. During the day on Saturday my best friend Katie wanted to take me out to lunch for my birthday. We went to Olive Garden and had a little lunch date for two. On Saturday April 13th Lauren and my other girls wanted to have a little get together for my birthday on Sunday. After I got out of work on Friday night I went to Lauren’s house with Nicole and Brittany. We ordered pizza and wings then Nicole came back from work and surprised me with an ice cream cake. It was delicious. We all girls were probably the biggest fatties that night because we ate just about all the ice cream cake. We basically just gossiped about everything happening in school and I opened up a gift that Lauren gave me. She got me my favorite candy which is snickers and a Justin Bieber shirt. I practically screamed when I opened it up. I was super excited! After we were done singing to me and eating we just went and relaxed in Lauren’s room. All of a sudden Lauren received a phone call from our good friend, Austin. He showed up at Lauren’s house with Austin, Chris, Jared, and Gabe. They made us come outside in the freezing cold weather to basically say hi and leave. We actually thought they were going to hang out with us but I guess not. Later after they left Austin called us back again. He called us to have us watch them drive around in circles around in circles in front of Laurens house. And let me remind you that it’s midnight. We had our sleepover and then the next day, Sunday was finally my birthday!! I had to go home early so I could go out to lunch with my family. I wanted to go out to lunch to Longhorn Steak House since I’ve never been there. At lunch everyone brought birthday presents for me to open. My parents bought me this very nice watch and I now wear it every day. I feel naked without it. I also got Maroon 5’s new CD, Overexposed, and my sister and her husband bought me a Maroon 5 concert ticket. Overall I would say this past birthday had to of been the best birthday ever.
