Over the holiday break I did various things. I don’t think I
had one specific highlight over my break. I really didn’t do too much. Like
most other people I hung out with my friends. I would have to say my favorite
time was hanging out with my friend Brittany. We had a girls night were we
stayed up late to watch chick flicks and just gossip about girls favorite
things. The next day I had though opportunity to finally meet her father and
her younger siblings. Her dad is probably one of the coolest guys I have ever
met. He just seems pretty laid back. Also she has a younger brother and a
younger sister as well. They were just too adorable to handle. We also went to
the mall that day and had a lunch date for two. And of course she made me try
Yogen Fruz. I feel like all I basically did was sleep, eat, watch movies, and
shop! Shopping over the break was close to taking over the number one spot of
my highlight over break. After the holidays were over I had money and gift
cards so therefore I have to shop! Another thing I did over break was do a lot
of family activities. On the day before Christmas Eve, all the cousins,
grandparents, aunts and uncles got together at one house and did our little
gift exchange and a little dinner. It was nothing to big. I would have to say I
enjoy Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day itself. Since the siblings don’t get
together on Christmas day we all get together at my sister’s house. At my sister’s
house we usually do a simple dinner and then Secret Santa between all the
siblings. By doing a Secret Santa gift exchange it helps to save money on everybody’s
part since there are so many kids in the family. I would have to say this winter break was pretty relaxing
and very laid back.
