In my eyes I think that anybody has the ability to be a hero
to any person. A hero has to express different qualities. To me a hero is
somebody who is willing to be brave enough to standup not only for themselves
but other people as well. I think a hero is any citizen that serves their
county in any way; from being in the military to just your local community as a
cop or firefighter etc. Although a hero doesn’t have to just serve our country
or community. A hero can be anyone in any person’s eye, for example like your
parents could be your hero. My brother is my hero. After the moment he signed
up for the United States Marine Corps he immediately touched my heart. To see
my own brother at the age of 18 and only be in town 2 days after his high school
graduation just amazes me. He was always interested into learning about war and
fighting, it seemed like his favorite interest. After seeing my brother
graduate boot camp in Parris Island, South Carolina was touching to not only me
but to my family as one. It’s crazy how the military can change one individual
so fast and so good. I could just see the drastic change in him. The only thing
keeping us in touch with him was by a letter once a week. Ever since his
graduation he’s been stationed all over the country from Missouri, California and
now Georgia. My brother has experience his first deployment to the Philippine’s
and now in a couple months he is getting deployed to Afghanistan. Just because
he’s currently a Marine doesn’t make him my hero it’s the fact that he’s my
older brother and he always has my back. In fact both of my brother’s always
tells me if any guy tries messing with me that they will go after him. Now that
is a true sibling relationship. I couldn’t ask for any better heroes in my life
let alone brothers.<3
