This picture could remind me of really anything. The first thing I notice is a grandson and his grandfather under the moon looking over at New York City from Ellis Island. After being separate from the rest of their family the two of them were very fortunate to make it over to New York City. Now this boy is still too young to know what is really going on. As you can see the two arrived with hundreds more and they are gazing over at New York over the Hudson River, and flashing their lantern at the water to look at the boats sailing pass the Statue of Liberty. As they appear to gaze over the calm waters grandpa starts telling his grandson stories about the history of the "King City." They first thing grandpa mentions to his grandson is the reasoning behind the Statue of Liberty. As the grandson starts to really notices all the buildings in the city he starts to throwout various questions. Of course the first two buildings he spotted out were the World Trade Center. Grandpa told him "they are all business offices for world trade for the United States, it is one of the most important buildings in America." Also one of the biggest buildings is the Empire State Building, which as well is all business offices. The little boy told his grandfather "Maybe you can look for a job there?!" His grandpa was excited to here the enthusiasm from his grandson because they are both aware that he is in serious need of a job to keep them under a safe shelter. Unfortunately the little boy is going to have no other choice to but work slightly in a factory for about 3 hours of a day and about 5 days a week. Both the grandson and grandfather are hoping to see the rest of their family arrive to New York City to live a better lifestyle in more of a safe environment.
